An Orlando Park that originally was dedicated to Col. Joe Kittinger on September 10th, 1992, re-opened after some renovations on March 15, 2011. As usual there was plenty of joy and laughter. The children young and old enjoyed free ice creams and toy propellers. We even had a fly over in celebration.
Joe gave a great speech about how he loved to ride his bike from "Princeton" elementary to this very spot and dream of becoming a pilot one day and how he wanted to give children a place to go where they can watch aircraft take off and land and even listen in on the actual tower to craft transmissions.
